Ready to quit smoking? Register for free health unit STOP workshop

Fall is a great time to make a quit smoking attempt. To help you get started the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is hosting a free three-hour STOP workshop in Collingwood.

COLLINGWOOD – Fall is a great time to make a quit smoking attempt. To help you get started the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is hosting a free three-hour STOP workshop in Collingwood. Registered participants will receive information and counseling as well as a free, five-week supply of the nicotine patch. Nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) has been shown to effectively help ease withdrawal symptoms.

The workshop, being held in in partnership with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, takes place on Tuesday, Sept. 30 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Pre-registration is required and the address location will be provided at that time.
